Liquid Emulsion

This is one of the liquid emulsion pieces that I've been working on. It's weird to finally have pieces to show after months of darkroom failures but my hard work as paid off and I'm excited to continue printing. Lots of exciting stuff to come! YAY!

2010

I was cleaning off my hard drive this afternoon and found these old shots taken with an LC-A+. Thought it might be nice to post them before I send them to that great hard drive in the sky. Oh, and Happy New Year.

Bee Project

I was playing around with an off camera flash and extension tubes yesterday and came out with these snazzy pictures of a bee. Here's the set-up:

A 50D, 17-85 IS lens, 12mm extension tube, SB600, off camera flash cord, a paint stick and a dead bee. Here are my final shots. Enjoy!

I went to ATL and took a few pictures at night.

I then asked Matthew to stitch them together for me and he did. Click the pic to make it bigger. The end.

Sanaz Arjomand

I recently did a shoot with Sanaz Arjomand for College of Charleston Magazine. Sanaz is an Iranian-American CofC student who spent the summer in Iran and voted in the last election. Her blog was picked up by the national news and offers a unique perspective on the recent events in Iran. After the magazine comes out I'll post more images but until then, check her out here.

The elusive BT.

Last week I went to the aquarium and you're never going to believe what I saw. A BLURRY TURTLE! I know what you're thinking...."no way! There is no such thing as a blurry turtle" but Im here to tell you that it happened. Need more proof? Well, here he is in all of his blurry turtle glory. I also saw some fish and a penguin but they were all in focus. BORING. So, Ill save that for another post.

Lake Tahoe

I went to Lake Tahoe with some friends a few weeks ago which was a great opportunity for me to shoot two things that I don't see very often- mountains and snow! This is an image that I shot on redscale film and converted to black and white.

iPhone photo 2.0

Photo from inside a downtown home. Still playing with all of my iPhone photography applications but so far I am very impressed. More to come.

My lunch date.

Went to lunch with my nanny family this afternoon and snapped this quick shot of "Number 2" people watching. It's another iPhone image so please excuse the blown out window and focus on his cuteness. Thanks.
